The adventure will begin at one of our base camp facilities. We provide you most of the equipment you need for your trip -  your backpack, your food, your sleeping bag. All you need are your clothes, hiking shoes, and desire to be challenged.  Our experienced wilderness instructors will take you and your group out on a carefully planned, challenging backpacking trip that will stretch your personal limits emotionally and physically.

      You will learn wilderness skills, backpacking and hiking skills, leadership skills, teamwork skills, and life skills that will serve you well outside of your backpacking trip.  The trips can last anywhere from 4 to 81 days depending on the type of adventure you want.  The days are filled with excitement, challenge, and work; but the natural beauty and the friendships are unparalleled. 

     As the days progress and your skill level and confidence increase your instructors will leave you alone for a period of time on a "solo". The  "solo" helps you reflect on what you've learned, where your life is at, where you want to go. It also allows you to practice some of the new wilderness skills you've gained. Towards the end of the trip your instructors will ask the group to shift roles.   Together, you will plan the meals, navigate the course, and  make camp for the day. The thrill of testing out your renewed or newly found sense of confidence is very gratifying.  You will also realize just how much you and your group have come to lean and depend on one another. Lastly, your instructors will present you with a final challenge to show you just how strong you have become.
